How to use this calculator
Enter your Instagram follower count, then add your average likes and comments from a recent post — these set your engagement rate. Pick the niche that best matches your content and choose the post type you want priced: a static post, a Reel or a Story. Hit Calculate to see an estimated GBP range for that single sponsored post, plus a verdict on how your engagement compares to UK Instagram benchmarks. Treat the range as a starting point for pitching brands, not a fixed price — real deals still move with negotiation, niche fit and audience quality.
UK rates methodology
This calculator runs on a hardcoded UK sponsored-post rate table split into four follower tiers: nano (under 10,000 followers, roughly £50–£250 per static post), micro (10,000–100,000, £250–£1,500), mid-tier (100,000–500,000, £1,500–£5,000) and macro (500,000+, £5,000–£20,000+). Reels are priced above a standard post and Stories below it, since that is how UK brands typically brief and budget each format.
Two further adjustments apply on top of that base rate. Your niche shifts the estimate up or down — finance, business and beauty audiences generally command a premium, while food and general lifestyle content sits closer to the baseline. Your engagement rate, calculated as (likes + comments) ÷ followers × 100, is then checked against the UK Instagram benchmark of roughly 1–3%: below 1% pulls the estimate down, and above 3% pushes it up, since brands pay for an audience that reacts, not just one that exists.
Every rate and multiplier is fixed in the page's code — nothing is fetched from a server, and no data you enter ever leaves your browser. For the full picture on Instagram monetisation beyond brand deals, including Gifts and the Reels bonus programme, see our guide on how much Instagram pays.

Frequently asked questions
How much do Instagram influencers charge per post in the UK?
It depends heavily on follower tier and niche, but 2026 UK rate cards put nano creators (1,000–10,000 followers) at roughly £50–£250 per post, micro creators (10,000–100,000) at £250–£1,500, mid-tier creators (100,000–500,000) at £1,500–£5,000, and macro creators (500,000+) at £5,000–£20,000 or more. Finance, business and beauty niches tend to sit toward the top of each range.
Do Instagram Reels pay more than regular posts?
Generally, yes. Reels tend to command a premium over static image or carousel posts because they get more organic reach and cost more to produce well, while Stories are usually priced lowest since they're quicker to make and disappear after 24 hours. This calculator applies a higher rate band to Reels and a lower one to Stories, on top of the same follower-tier base.
What is a good Instagram engagement rate in the UK?
Below roughly 1% is considered low, 1–3% is average, and above 3% is strong for Instagram — slightly different bands apply on TikTok and YouTube. Engagement rate matters more to brands than raw follower count, since it signals whether an audience actually pays attention. Check yours in more detail with our engagement rate calculator.
How is Instagram engagement rate calculated?
Add your average likes and comments together, divide by your follower count, then multiply by 100. For example, 500 likes and 40 comments on an account with 20,000 followers gives (540 ÷ 20,000) × 100 = 2.7% engagement — solidly average for the UK. This calculator runs that formula automatically the moment you hit Calculate.
Does niche affect Instagram sponsored post rates?
Yes, significantly. Finance, business and beauty accounts typically attract higher-budget brand deals because the products involved carry higher price tags and repeat-purchase value, while food, travel and general lifestyle content usually sees lower average rates for the same follower count. This calculator applies a niche multiplier on top of your follower tier to reflect that difference.
How accurate is this Instagram earnings calculator?
It's a starting point for negotiation, not a guaranteed rate. Real Instagram brand deals move with audience quality, past campaign performance, exclusivity terms and how well a creator pitches themselves — two accounts with identical followers and engagement can land very different offers. Use the estimate as a floor to negotiate up from, not a ceiling.
